Get Local -- Culture/Language Exchange with Zhong Zheng High School

We cooperated with Taipei City Zhong Zheng High School to send our students joining their foreign language classes.
It is an amazing experience for our students to feel how it is like being a senior high school student in Taiwan, to feel the atmosphere in the school and to be part of the classes.
CLD students from Japan, Korea, France and Germany were invited to join these high school students' Japanese, Korean, French and German classes.
CLD students worked hard to prepare for their first meet with these teenagers.
They spent time discussing with these classes' teachers upon the class content and making a rehearsal.
At first, the high school students were shy and silent while this might be their first time to talk to a foreigner face to face.
But CLD students were passionate and professional, they shortly broke the ice and cheered up the class atmosphere!
Our students prepared a power point to introduce their country's cultures and languages, some of them designed a game which also helped the students to learn the target language.
It looked like they WERE exactly the teachers of the classes.
This is such a special experience for both our CLD students and Zhong Zheng High School students.
Some of them stayed in the classroom continuing their conversation even after the class were dismissed.
To learn a language is never simply sitting in the classroom, to get yourself exposed to a different environment could be inspiring as well!
We believe our students and these teenagers both learned a lesson and made the best out of this activity.
