Chinese Painting - Fan Painting

Chinese painting is one of most well-known Chinese art in the world.
This is also one of the most popular activities at the CLD.
But this year, we've made a difference to it.
Not just painting on a plain piece of paper, this time, we were painting fans!!
Aside from learning the skills of painting, students also had a lesson on the Chinese culture about the “four gentlemen among flowers (四君子)” – plum blossom (梅), orchid (蘭), bamboo (竹) and chrysanthemum (菊), which are the symbols of perseverance, elegance, humbleness, and high morality.
Every participant was focused on the lesson and practice~
Hard work always pays off.
Students were all satisfied with their own work.
Holding the "four gentlemen among flowers" in hand, our students seemed to become even more elegant, didn't they?
Or maybe it was the effect from the long-time concentration, which brought them mental peace and tranquility.
Either way, art makes people beautiful and wise, it is quite true!
